Collection: Cutting Discs

Metal and stainless steel cutting discs for angle grinders, from 75mm mini cut-off wheels up to 230mm discs for heavy fabrication. All Abracs, aluminium oxide, resin bonded and fibreglass reinforced, manufactured to EN 12413.

Depressed centre cutting discs
The standard-duty 3mm disc, 100mm to 230mm. Tough and long-lasting on repeated heavy cutting, with a recessed centre that lets you cut flush to a surface.

Extra thin cutting discs
1mm Abracs Proflex INOX discs for stainless steel and mild steel. Faster, cleaner cuts with minimal burr and less heat.

Mini cut-off wheels
75mm wheels with a 10mm bore for air cut-off tools and mini angle grinders, in 1mm, 1.6mm and 2mm. For confined spaces a full-size grinder cannot reach.

Choosing a size
Match the disc to your grinder, never the other way round. 100mm (4"), 115mm (4.5") and 125mm (5") suit standard handheld grinders; 180mm (7") and 230mm (9") are for large two-handed grinders. Larger discs cut deeper but run at lower maximum speeds.

Checking the bore
Most discs use a standard 22mm bore. Our 100mm discs have a 16mm (5/8") bore and our 75mm mini wheels a 10mm bore — check what your tool takes before ordering.

Safety
Never exceed the maximum RPM printed on the disc, and always check your grinder's rated speed is at or below it. Cutting discs are for cutting only — never use the face of a cutting disc for grinding, as side loading can shatter the disc. Use a guard, eye protection and a dust mask.

Also known as chop discs, angle grinder discs, cut-off wheels, inox discs, stainless steel cutting discs, metal cutting wheels or slitting discs.
