Collection: Heatshrink Terminals
Heatshrink terminals are crimp connectors with an adhesive-lined heatshrink sleeve, giving a sealed, waterproof connection that ordinary insulated crimps cannot. This range covers the main types, and the guide below explains how to choose.
What makes them different — After crimping, you warm the sleeve and it shrinks down while the adhesive lining melts and flows, sealing around the wire to lock out moisture and provide strain relief. That sealed joint is why heatshrink terminals are the choice for marine, automotive, outdoor and any damp environment where a standard crimp would corrode and fail.
Choosing the type — Ring terminals bolt down onto a stud or post and will not pull off. Fork and spade terminals slide under a screw for quick connect and disconnect, with fully insulated spades for extra protection. Female spade, male tab and receptacle terminals are the push-on blade connectors that join and separate by hand. Bullet terminals give a round push-together connection, and butt terminals join two wires end to end in line. Choose the type to suit how the connection attaches.
Matching wire size — Terminals are colour-coded to suit a range of wire sizes, so match the terminal to the cross-section of your cable for a reliable crimp. Use the correct crimp tool and heat the sleeve evenly until it shrinks and the adhesive shows at the ends.
