Plastic Push-Fit Connectors

Plastic push-fit connectors join nylon and plastic tube quickly by hand, with no tools, threading or clips. This range is for pneumatic air line and water hose, and the guide below explains how they work and how to choose.

How push-fit works — Push the tube into the connector and an internal collet grips and seals it; to release, press the collet ring in and pull the tube out. The joint can be made and broken repeatedly, which makes these connectors quick to fit and easy to reconfigure on air lines and tube runs.

Choosing the shape — Straight connectors join two lengths of tube in line, elbow connectors turn a run through ninety degrees around a corner, and T-piece connectors split one line into two. Choose the shape to suit how the tube needs to run, and keep an assorted box to hand for mixed jobs and repairs.

Matching the tube size — Connectors are sized to the outside diameter of the tube they take, so match the connector to your tube rather than the internal bore. Measure the tube outside diameter and pick the matching connector so it grips and seals correctly.
