Collection: Masking Tape & Paper

Masking tape and paper for painting, spraying and refinishing, giving clean paint lines and protecting the surfaces you are not coating. This range covers different grades for different jobs, and the guide below explains how to choose.

Standard masking tape — General-purpose tape for everyday masking, decorating and clean paint edges at normal temperatures. It applies easily, holds paint lines and peels away cleanly on interior and general work.

Low bake masking tape — Made to withstand the heat of a paint-drying oven without lifting, melting or leaving residue, which makes it the choice for automotive refinishing and any paint that is baked or force-dried. Use this rather than standard tape wherever the panel goes through a bake cycle.

UV-resistant masking tape — Holds up to longer exposure to sunlight and weather and removes cleanly afterwards, so it suits outdoor jobs and masking that stays in place for extended periods where standard tape would bake on and tear.

Masking paper — Wide brown paper for covering large areas such as panels, glass and bodywork while spraying, keeping overspray off surrounding surfaces. Used with masking tape to mask off a whole area quickly and economically.

Choosing for the job — Match the grade to the conditions: standard for general work, low bake for oven-dried paint, UV-resistant for outdoor or long-stay masking, and paper to cover the larger areas. Choose the width to suit the line or area you are masking.
