Cup brushes (angle grinder)
Threaded M10 or M14 brushes that work face-on. Twist-knot for aggressive rust and slag removal, crimped for cleaning and polishing.

Wheel brushes (angle grinder)
Threaded M14 wheels that work on their edge. A flat wheel for open surfaces, a bevel brush for corners, edges and awkward shapes.

Spindle brushes (drill)
Small brushes on a 6mm shank for a drill or die grinder, for detail work where an angle grinder brush is too big. Rated to a lower 4,500 RPM.

Twist-knot or crimped
Twist-knot wire is twisted into tight knots that hit hard — the aggressive choice for heavy rust, scale, thick paint and weld slag. Crimped wire is softer and more flexible, for cleaning, deburring, light rust and polishing without gouging the surface.

Check the speed
Angle grinder brushes are rated to 12,500 RPM; drill-mounted spindle brushes to just 4,500 RPM. Never run a brush above its rated speed, and never fit a drill brush to an angle grinder — check your tool's speed before use.
