Collection: Superseal Connectors

Superseal connectors are sealed, waterproof electrical connectors for automotive and 12V/24V wiring, used where a joint needs to stand up to water, dust and vibration. This guide explains how to choose the right one.

Where they are used — The sealed design keeps water and dirt out of the connection, which makes these the choice for exterior, engine bay, chassis, trailer, marine and off-road wiring, and anywhere a standard connector would corrode or fail. They join and separate cleanly, so a component can be unplugged for service.

Choosing the number of ways — Connectors come in different numbers of ways, meaning the number of separate wires the connector carries, from a single way up to several. Count the wires in the circuit and choose a connector with the matching number of ways so each wire has its own sealed position.

Matching the wire size — Each connector suits a range of wire sizes, so match the connector and its terminals to the cross-section of the cable you are using. A terminal that is too large or small for the wire will not crimp reliably, so check the wire size the connector accepts before ordering.

Kits or individual connectors — An assorted kit is the easy way to keep a spread of sizes and ways to hand for repairs and one-off jobs, while individual connectors suit a known, repeated requirement. Choose the kit to stock up, or single connectors for a specific job.
