115mm Zirconium Flap Disc (4.5") — Abracs Type 29

Abracs 115mm zirconium flap disc for grinding, blending and finishing steel in one pass on a 4.5 inch angle grinder — the most common size on site and in the workshop. Overlapping zirconium flaps wear away as you work to expose fresh abrasive, so the disc cuts consistently from new to worn rather than glazing over. Where a grinding disc removes material and leaves you to finish afterwards, a flap disc takes the weld down and leaves a blended surface in the same operation.

Choosing a grit
40 (coarse) for fast stock removal, knocking down heavy welds and rough edges. 60 (medium) is the general-purpose choice, balancing removal against finish. 80 (fine) for blending, cleaning up and final finishing before paint or polish.
