Collection: Copper Tube Terminals & Cable Lugs

Copper Tube Terminals & Cable Lugs

Heavy duty copper crimp terminals for high current cable, dispatched from our Leeds warehouse. Known variously as cable lugs, battery lugs, tube terminals or crimp ring terminals, they all do the same job: a seamless copper barrel is crimped onto the conductor, and a ring palm bolts to a stud, busbar or battery post.

Sizes from 6mm² to 240mm² — 6, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185 and 240mm², each on its own page so you can buy exactly the size you need. Match the terminal to the conductor cross-section, not to the cable's overall diameter.

Where they're used — battery and starter cables, welding cable, inverters, leisure and marine battery banks, split charge systems, distribution and busbars.

Butt connectors — copper tube butt terminals for joining two heavy conductors end to end, in the full size range.

Copper tube pins — non-insulated brass and copper pin terminals from 10mm² to 95mm², where a pin rather than a ring is needed.

Crimping — terminals of this size need a hydraulic or heavy duty crimp tool with the correct hex die. A hammer crimp will not give a sound joint on a high current cable, and a poor crimp runs hot.
