1725pc Assorted Uninsulated Bootlace Ferrules Box - 0.5mm² to 16mm²

1725pc Assorted Box of Uninsulated Bootlace Ferrules - 1725 uninsulated tinned copper cord end ferrules covering nine cable sizes from 0.5mm² up to 16mm², with two pin lengths in most sizes.

A ferrule turns a handful of loose strands into one solid pin. Crimped onto the conductor it stops the strands splaying when the terminal screw comes down, stops stray wires bridging to the neighbouring terminal, and gives the screw a solid parallel face to clamp rather than a bundle that relaxes and works loose. Uninsulated means no plastic collar, so the whole length goes into the terminal - which is what you need in shallow terminal blocks, crowded enclosures and anywhere the collar on an insulated ferrule would foul the housing. Two pin lengths across most sizes cover both shallow and deep terminals from the same box.

Please note
These need a proper ferrule crimping tool with a hexagonal or trapezoidal die. A standard terminal crimper squashes the barrel flat instead of compressing it evenly around the conductor, which leaves a joint that works loose. Match the ferrule to the cable size rather than forcing an undersized one on, and insert the full pin into the terminal - with no insulating collar, any barrel left outside the terminal is exposed copper.
