115mm Fibre Sanding Disc (4.5") — Sanding & Grinding, Angle Grinder

115mm fibre sanding disc for sanding, grinding and stripping metal on a 4.5 inch angle grinder — the most common grinder size on site and in the workshop. A tough resin-bonded disc on a vulcanised fibre backing, for heavier work than a sheet or orbital disc can handle — stock removal, weld cleaning, rust and paint stripping, and surface preparation.

Needs a backing pad
A fibre disc is flat and flexible and does not mount to a grinder on its own. It runs on a backing pad, which bolts to the grinder spindle and supports the disc. If you do not already have one, add a 115mm backing pad — see our backing pads.

Choosing a grit
24 (very coarse) for the fastest, most aggressive stock removal, heavy weld and rust. 36 (coarse) for general grinding and stripping. 60 (medium) for lighter removal and a smoother surface before finishing. Fibre discs are coarse abrasives — for fine finishing use a flap disc or sanding sheet.

Fits
