Automotive Relays

Standard automotive relays for 12V and 24V vehicle wiring. The relay lets a low-current switch control a high-current circuit — so a dashboard switch or an ECU output can drive lights, horns, pumps, fans and motors without carrying the full load itself.

4 pin or 5 pin? A 4 pin relay is a simple on/off (normally open) switch: it makes one circuit when energised. A 5 pin relay is a changeover (SPDT): it switches between two circuits, feeding one when off and the other when on. Choose 4 pin to turn something on, 5 pin where you need to switch power from one thing to another.

Amp ratings — from 20A to 40A, in 12V and 24V, covering the great majority of vehicle accessory and lighting circuits. Pick a relay rated comfortably above the current your circuit draws.

Mounting — with fixed, moulded and detachable brackets to suit how and where the relay is fitted.

Relay holders & spares — 4, 5 and 9 pin relay base holders, thermal flasher units for indicators and hazards, and fused relays supplied with the fuse. Match the holder to the relay's pin count and layout.
