70pc Assorted Hose Menders Box - 3mm to 16mm, Petrol & Diesel Resistant

70pc Assorted Box of Hose Menders - 70 straight hose menders in nine bore sizes from 3mm up to 16mm, moulded in glass fibre reinforced polyamide and barbed at both ends.

A split halfway along a hose does not have to mean a new hose. Cut out the damaged section, push a mender into each cut end, and the run is back in service - the barbs grip the bore so the joint holds without cutting the whole length back to its fittings. Glass filled polyamide gives them the strength to be pushed into a stiff cold hose without splitting, and the material is rated from -30°C to +140°C and resistant to petrol and diesel, so the same box covers a fuel line, a screenwash pipe and a coolant hose.

Please note
Fit a hose clip over the hose at each end of the mender on any line that runs under pressure - coolant especially, where hot hose softens and the barbs alone are not enough to hold it. Push the mender fully home into clean, square cut hose, and check the hose itself is sound rather than perished before repairing it, since a mender will not save a hose that is failing along its length.
