Seated in a machined groove and squeezed between two faces, an O ring is the simplest seal there is and the one used on more joints than any other. Sizes here are quoted by AS568 dash number, so if the fitting or the old seal carries a number the replacement can be matched exactly rather than measured and guessed at.
