28pc Assorted Box of Brass Compression Couplings - 28 brass compression tube couplings covering seven imperial tube sizes from 1/8 inch up to 1/2 inch, supplied with nuts and olives.

A coupling joins two lengths of rigid tube into one continuous run. The olive sits over the tube end, the nut pulls it into the taper inside the body, and the olive bites down to seal on the tube itself - no thread sealant, no flaring tool, no heat. That makes it the quickest way to join or extend a tube run in situ, and the reason it has stayed the standard method on fuel, oil, air and coolant lines on older vehicles and machinery for as long as it has.

Please note
Compression couplings are not suitable for brake lines. A brake pipe joint must be a proper flared union, and 3/16 inch is a common imperial brake pipe size, so take care not to press these into that job - copper brake pipe, a flaring tool and the correct male and female unions are what a brake repair needs. Tighten the nut firmly but do not overtighten, as an over-crushed olive will leak rather than seal, and a used olive should always be replaced rather than reused.
