280pc Assorted Box of Circlips - 280 spring steel circlips, also called retaining or snap rings, in eight sizes from 12mm to 25mm, with both internal and external types in every size.
A circlip drops into a machined groove and holds a bearing, gear, gudgeon pin or shaft in position without a nut or a thread. Externals fit on a shaft and are sized to the shaft diameter; internals fit inside a bore and are sized to the housing bore, so the same number describes two different parts and it pays to know which you need. Externals are made to DIN 471 and internals to DIN 472.
