220pc Assorted Copper Sealing Washers Box - 12 Sizes, BSP & Imperial

220pc Assorted Box of Copper Sealing Washers - 220 copper sealing washers in twelve sizes, with bores from 0.265" up to 0.91" and thicknesses of 16, 18 and 20 gauge.

Copper is soft enough to crush into the sealing face as the fitting is pulled up, taking up the imperfections in both faces and giving a metal to metal seal with no jointing compound. Unlike a fibre washer it does not mind heat or pressure, which is why copper is what goes on brake unions, banjo bolts and injector lines rather than on a low pressure oil union.

Please note
Copper washers seal best fitted new. One that has been crushed before will not seal as reliably again unless it is annealed first.
