200pc Brake Shoe Hold Down Kit - 85 compression springs in four patterns, 65 locking pins in two lengths and 50 locking washers, covering the drum brake hold down arrangements used by Ford, Vauxhall, GM, Rover, BL, Girling and Lockheed.

The hold down pin, spring and washer are what keep a brake shoe against the backplate. They corrode, the spring loses tension and the washer distorts on removal, so they get replaced with the shoes rather than refitted. Because the pattern differs from one manufacturer to the next, a box covering several makes means a drum brake job finishes the same day instead of waiting on a single spring clip.
