A blind rivet sets from one side only, so a panel goes on with no access behind it - which is the whole reason they exist. Drill, insert, squeeze the riveter until the mandrel snaps, and the joint is permanent. Stainless is what takes this box outdoors: an aluminium rivet in a steel panel sets up a corrosion cell that eats the rivet from the moment it gets wet, and a plated steel rivet stains the panel around every head. Stainless does neither, which is why it is worth the difference on anything exposed to weather or salt.

Please note
Drill the hole a touch over the rivet diameter so the body enters cleanly, and match the rivet length to the combined thickness of the material - too short and it will not form behind, too long and it buckles rather than clamping. A rivet is a permanent fixing: taking one out means drilling the head off, so where a panel will need to come away again use a rivet nut and a bolt instead.
