2600pc Assorted Box of Bootlace Ferrules - 2600 insulated cord end ferrules covering eight cable sizes from 0.5mm² up to 10.0mm², colour coded to the French standard.

A ferrule crimps onto the end of a stranded conductor and turns it into a solid pin. That stops the strands splaying when the screw comes down on them, keeps a stray whisker from bridging across to the next terminal, and means the clamp bears on the ferrule rather than cutting into the copper. Standard practice on control panels and terminal blocks, and worth doing on any screw terminal taking a stranded cable.

Please note
These are fitted with a ferrule crimping tool, which forms a square or hexagonal crimp. A ratchet crimper made for insulated terminals will not form a ferrule correctly.
