Wet & Dry Sheets

Wet and dry sanding sheets in waterproof silicon carbide, for flatting and finishing paint, primer, lacquer, metal and filler by hand — wet or dry. Used wet, the sheet cuts finer and clogs far less, leaving a smooth, swirl-free surface. The go-to abrasive for bodywork and refinishing, in grits from 120 through to an ultra-fine 2000.

Waterproof, for a fine finish
A latex paper backing and resin-bonded grit shrug off water where an ordinary sheet would fall apart, and a flexible anti-slip back keeps the sheet under control when wet. This is a finishing abrasive — for stripping wood use production paper, for working metal dry use emery cloth.

Choosing a grit
120 and 180 for flatting filler and heavy paint. 240 and 320 for keying primer. 400 and 600 for flatting between coats. 1200 and 2000 (ultra-fine) for finishing, removing runs and cutting back before polishing.
