Clear PVC Hose & Tubing

Clear PVC hose and tubing for water, air and general fluid transfer, where being able to see the flow through the tube is useful. This range covers plain and braided tube, and the guide below explains how to choose.

Plain or braided — This is the main decision. Plain clear PVC tubing is flexible and suited to low-pressure and gravity-fed jobs such as siphoning, drainage, overflow, aquarium and general fluid transfer. Braided PVC tubing has a reinforcing braid through the wall that lets it handle higher pressure without ballooning, making it the choice for pressurised water, air lines and pump connections. Choose plain for low-pressure runs and braided where the line is under pressure.

Why clear — A transparent wall lets you see the fluid moving, spot air locks and blockages, and check flow at a glance, which is why clear tube is preferred for dosing, monitoring and food and drink applications.

Choosing a bore size — Tube is sized by internal bore, which sets the flow and the fitting it connects to. Measure the bore you need and match the tube and any connectors to it. Wall thickness affects how much pressure and kinking the tube resists, so a thicker wall or braided tube suits tougher use.
