What it is for — Air line hose runs the air from a compressor to tyre inflators, air tools, blow guns and airline equipment. It is reinforced through the wall to handle the pressure of a compressed air system without ballooning, and stays flexible for routing around the workshop or vehicle.

Choosing the bore — Air line hose is sized by internal bore, which sets how much air it flows and the fittings it connects to. A larger bore delivers more air for higher-demand tools over longer runs, while a smaller bore suits lighter tools and shorter runs. Match the bore to your tools and to the airline fittings you use, so the hose does not starve the tool of air.

Connecting up — Fit the hose to your airline couplings and connectors, securing each end with a suitable clip or fitting. Match the hose bore to the fitting size for a secure, leak-free connection.
